How Long Does a Custom Tile Shower Take to Build?
A custom tile shower is more than a visible tile finish. Tile preparation, waterproofing, testing, and curing all affect when it can be used.

Start with the existing conditions
Before tile installation, any needed structural or other renovation work must be coordinated with the responsible professionals. M.S Tile evaluates the surfaces for its tile scope at the on-site estimate; hidden conditions can affect readiness.
Protect and test the shower
Waterproofing comes before tile. M.S Tile requires a 24-hour hydrostatic flood test of the shower pan before tile setting; a definitive leak diagnosis also requires that test.
Allow time for the finish
Tile setting and grouting follow the approved waterproofing and test. The finished work also needs curing time, which may include 48 hours depending on the selected system and project conditions.
Use a range, not a promise
Five to ten days can be a typical planning range for a custom shower, but it is not a fixed timeline. The actual schedule depends on the on-site estimate, materials, hidden conditions, and coordination with other trades.
